Services and Events in our Churches over the next two weeks
On Sunday 15th March 2026 it is Lent 4 and also Mothering Sunday – and we continue our series of Lenten sermons based on the Church Urban Fund (CUF) “Growing Good” material. Our “Growing Good” theme for this Sunday is Hospitality and there will be services as follows:
At 9.30am at Hilton Church a service of Morning Praise led by Julia Ardley, Authorised Lay Minister.
At 9.30am at Brookfield Church a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.

The scripture passages we will use at these services are:
- Lectionary choice Exodus 2:1-10
- Growing Good choice Luke 14:7-14
The Diocesan Reflection for Mothering Sunday will be given by the Bishop of Hull, the Rt Revd Dr Eleanor Sanderson. Bishop Eleanor reflects on the Gospel passages set for that Sunday (Luke 2:33‑35 and John 19:25-27). You will be able to find the Reflection at this link.
On Monday 16th March 2026 at 11.15am for one hour at Brookfield Church Hall there will be an opportunity to “Continue the Conversation” about the Growing Good sermon theme preached at the services the day before, led by our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild.
